Peach Fuzz "Sangria"

It's Labor Day Weekend! I am still unemployed, but I will still be celebrating!

If you are celebrating this weekend - please stay safe, stay distanced and wear a mask.

We cannot risk another surge of Covid-19 cases, let's end this!

Hopefully you haven't selected your weekend cocktail yet, because I have the perfect beverage to close out Summer. My "Sangria" is just a bit different, this one's made with beer!

Peach Fuzz "Sangria"

Serves 4-5, using an 8oz glass

24 fluid ounces (two cans) of your favorite summer beer

*I am using my new go-to, Five Boroughs Brewing Co. Summer Ale, be sure to choose a summer beer that has notes of citrus and fruit with some hops

1 cup of peach nectar

*If you can't find this in the juice aisle of your local grocery store, check the International aisle or where their hispanic food section is located

3 or 4 ounces of bourbon

2 ounces of simple syrup

2 ounces of fresh lemon juice

Garnish: Frozen Sliced Peaches, maybe even a mint leaf if you want to get super fancy!

In a pitcher, stir together the peach nectar, bourbon, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Place this in the fridge for an hour or prior to serving. When ready to serve, add the beer to ensure it keeps it's carbonation.

TIP TIME: We use frozen sliced peaches to act as ice cubes, when they defrost they won't water down your drink!
